Iowa's Used Chrysler Models

Chrysler was first organized as the Chrysler Corporation in 1925. The company was founded by Walter Chrysler, when the Maxwell Motor Company (est. 1904) was re-organized into the Chrysler Corporation. Then in January 1924, Walter Chrysler launched the well-received Chrysler automobile. The Chrysler was a 6-cylinder automobile, designed to provide customers with an advanced, well-engineered car, but at a more affordable price than they might expect. Among the innovations in its early years would be the first practical mass-produced four-wheel hydraulic brakes, a system nearly completely engineered by Chrysler with patents assigned to Lockheed, and rubber engine mounts to reduce vibration. Chrysler also developed a road wheel with a ridged rim, designed to keep a deflated tire from flying off the wheel. This safety wheel was eventually adopted by the auto industry worldwide.

In 2009 Chrysler LLC filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection and announced a plan for a partnership with Italian automaker Fiat. On June 1, Chrysler LLC stated they were selling some assets and operations to the newly formed company Chrysler Group LLC.  Fiat will hold a 20% stake in the new company, with an option to increase this to 35%, and eventually to 51% if it meets financial and developmental goals for the company. Chrysler intended to pursue new drive concepts through ENVI, an in-house organization formed to focus on electric-drive vehicles and related technologies.

Thanks to its distinctive styling, roomy interior and powerful performance capabilities, the latest Chrysler 300 has become a popular choice in the used large sedan segment. The Chrysler 300 is a large five-passenger sedan with rear-wheel or all-wheel drive. It's been designed to appeal to consumers desiring something with a bit more personality than a regular family sedan or an alternative to popular foreign entry-luxury sedans. The current-generation Chrysler 300 debuted for the 2005 model year. Prior to 2009, the 300C's 5.7-liter V8 made 340 hp, but the powertrains have otherwise gone unchanged.

Chrysler has an answer for those looking for a used family vehicle. The Town and Country is the ultimate in family convenience and safety. Chrysler Town & Country has long appealed to families and empty-nesters seeking a practical vehicle with a dash of luxury inside and out. Over the years, some of the Town & Country's amenities have been truly ground-breaking. The T&C and its twin, the Dodge Grand Caravan, have been the first and only vans to offer Stow 'n Go, a seating system that provides fold-flat capability for both the second- and third-row seats, as well as in-floor storage compartments when the seats are occupied. They were also the first to offer driver-side sliding doors.
